Britta Bucholz

Britta Bucholz has an extensive career serving as a senior executive for philanthropic and corporate giving specializing in the direct management and execution of major gifts, corporate partnerships, special events, social media and capital campaigns. Britta has served an array of public charities and private foundations; including The Aoki Foundation, Cesar Millan Foundation, Heal the Bay, Save the Music, Jenesse Center, Not Impossible Foundation, and many others. Britta’s fundraising career began at City of Hope in Southern California, where she oversaw fundraising within the Music & Entertainment, Fashion and Beauty Industries. In her role she led senior executives through multi-level fundraising campaigns to build awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment. During the 14 years at City of Hope she successfully raised over $55M through events, cause marketing, sponsorship, major giving, planned giving, employee giving, direct mail and foundation grants.
Britta spent the last three years with Share Our Strength. In her role as the Director of Development of California for the No Kid Hungry campaign she oversaw all fundraising efforts across the state, focusing on principal and major gifts, corporate sponsorship and events. She developed and led a strategic fundraising plan for the market and increased annual contributions from $1.4M to $10M annually. Within the first year, fundraising in the State of California alone surpassed over $2.6M. Prior to working with No Kid Hungry, Britta served as the Vice President of Philanthropy at the Starkey Hearing Foundation developing and implementing a development strategy for Starkey Hearing Technologies and Starkey Hearing Foundation, including advancing and negotiating strategic partnerships with nonprofit, business, entertainment, community and political leaders to effectively advance the foundation’s international mission and impact.
